I'm curious if the Q5 3.0 TDI has the two-tank system for AdBlue. The ETKA entry for the Q7 does, in fact, show the "passive" (next to the diesel tank) and "active" (sort of wrapped around up by the filler ports) tanks, but the ETKA entry for the Q5 shows only one tank, located down by the diesel fuel tank.
I think you shouldn't worry about a possibility of failure. I got the refill adblue message twice so far and in both instances filled up with 10L of Shell adblue and the warning was gone the next time I start the car. If the warning does not go away, I would suspect a malfunctioning sensor. Reply Like.

Battery - Check for clean terminals (no corrosion), properly mounted housing and no damage; replace if necessary. Also, check the acid level of battery only if the level can be seen through the housing and fill if necessary (except Audi Q5 hybrid) Charging socket: Check for damage and make sure the socket is dry (Audi A3 e-tron only)
Top Answer. The diesel exhaust fluid, also known as DEF or the trade name AdBlue, is an important part of Your AudiQ7's fuel system. Unfortunately, there's no way to check Your DEF level between fill ups. The recommended procedure is to top off the fluid every 10,000 miles at scheduled maintenance.

McGyver to the rescue. :) Note: I think I've got about 7000 miles on a tank refill (Q7, 128K, postfix) and the warning message hasn't come on yet. 2015 Cayenne S, air. 2013 Q5 3.0T, Prestige, Sline. 2013 Q7 TDi, Premium Plus. 2011 Q5 3.2, Prestige, Sline. 2001 A4 quattro avant sport. 03-20-2019 01:17 PM #5.
